This website complements two other active websites: NEWS - the daily weblog maintained by me (jcw), and TALK - the discussion forum where anyone can ask questions, discuss ideas, share tips, announce fun projects, etc. The weblog and forum are both organized along a timeline, whereas this site uses a hierarchical structure, which is more suitable for reference material and documentation.

First steps

Getting started can be tricky at times. It depends on where you come from and on your expectations. This section covers hooking up a JeeNode, uploading sketches, getting wireless communication going, setting up sensor nodes, and interfacing with JeeMon.

Projects

The list of projects at Jee Labs keeps on growing. It can be hard to find things back again in the weblog, and sometimes there are important changes or extensions to older projects. This section contains a (growing) list of projects, with pointers to all the relevant pages.

Hardware

This is the main reference for hardware products which originated at Jee Labs and which have found a way to escape into the wild. JeeNodes, JeeLinks, wireless, sensors, plugs, etc. This is where you'lll find pinouts, schematics, boards, errata, and pointers to related posts.

Software

All microcontroller-based based hardware needs software. This area contains libraries for use with the Arduino IDE, including many examples for most of the JeePlugs. This is also where JeeMon is documented, a general-purpose switchboard / monitoring application.

Loose ends

This is a parking spot for pages which haven't been properly updated and organized yet.

These pages are maintained in Markdown format and stored in a subversion repository so several people can update and extend them. The rendering is done by ikiwiki. The page layout is bland, until I figure out how to fit all this into a visual style matching the daily weblog.

Once in a while, you may find a pointer to a post on the daily weblog which doesn't work. Please check the date, if mentioned - weblog posts are often written in advance, with links from the café set up to point to them. Such links will automagically start working on their publication date. As for any other link which doesn't work as expected: please let me know.

If you want to participate and contribute to these pages, get in touch and I'll set up the required access.

Bring your favorite coffee and enjoy your visit,
